Activities: Academic Awards Committee, Women in Computer Science. I published a seminar paper with Professor Eric Foner, “A Tale of Two Columbias: Francis Lieber, Columbia University and Slavery,” which was cited in Liberty’s Chain, a history of Chief Justice John Jay’s family.

Antitrust and Technology Practices. I contributed to briefs for several federal courts, wrote memoranda for consumer and labor class action suits, and analyzed potential new cases for legal viability.

Technology and Digital Platforms Section. I wrote a venue memo for upcoming litigation, researched and prepared memos for depositions, and led questioning of parties’ engineers for an ongoing investigation.

At Justfix, a housing justice tech nonprofit that builds online tools to help NYC tenants report unsafe housing conditions and landlords, I led a three-person team to build a Letter of Complaint tool for California residents. I also built several new features for the Who Owns What property research tool.
I worked with Senator Ron Wyden’s office to analyze how the Algorithmic Accountability Act might combat discriminatory tenant screening algorithms and coordinated Justfix’s official endorsement of the bill.

During a three-month in-person fellowship that teaches policy skills to technologists, I wrote policy recommendations for AI mortgage algorithms and began writing about why antitrust matters to engineers.
I published two related op eds: “How Coronavirus Will Keep You From Owning Your Dream Home,” Morning Consult, in 2020; and “Google Fiber’s Demise and Why Monopolies Suck,” Tech Policy Press, in 2021.

I led accessibility policy for Sidewalk Toronto, a proposed waterfront ‘future city’ development, including co-design for inclusive city spaces and services with members of the Toronto accessibility community.
I wrote software for Delve, an AI-assisted urban planning platform, and Toronto Transit Explorer, a transit routing web app, which garnered positive press. I am an inventor on eight patents related to this work.

Google Fiber: Tech-led & launched Digital Inclusion Planner, a tool for visualizing the digital divide and planning broadband Community Impact programs.
Google News: Built citizen journalism web app, maintained Google News iOS app.
